Marine ISO Signage (21.11.2017)

Marine ISO Signage
Marine ISO signage to replace IMO for Shipboard escape route signs and emergency equipment location markings.

Following the proceedings of the 30th assembly of the IMO of December 2017 resolution A.1116(30), will require from the 1st January 2019 the new ISO signage to be used by new vessels.

Maritime progress are presently providing both the ISO and the older IMO signs. However, where the difference between the two is minimal, we will be moving over to the ISO signs solely [see example image 1a]. This policy will ensure that if the older IMO and the ISO signage are used on the same vessel, there can be no confusion to the crew or passengers.

In addition to new ships, all vessels that undergo repairs, alterations, modifications and outfitting within the scope of SOLAS chapters II-2 and/or III, as applicable;  will thereafter be expected to use the new ISO signage.

Maritime Progress will from the 1st of January 2019 sell the new signage unless otherwise specified by the customer. We will continue to sell the older IMO signage to customers who still wish to buy them. Please note that the older and new versions of the signage have different order numbers.

Marine ISO signage products will be in our online store soon.
