Understanding the different types of IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) hazard diamonds is crucial for safety on a ship. These diamonds communicate essential information about the nature of hazardous materials, indicating the specific risks associated with each substance.
The colours and symbols used on these diamonds convey vital details such as flammability, toxicity, and environmental hazards. By quickly recognising and interpreting these warnings, crew members can take appropriate precautions to prevent accidents, ensure safe handling and storage, and respond effectively in emergencies.
